Supporting the Needs and Priorities of Diverse Families and Individuals
Early Intervention
Aphasia
Education
At Peach Coast Therapy, I provide speech, language, and communication services, primarily to children under 3 for Early Intervention. I do not specialize in feeding services. I also have a passion for working on language with individuals who have aphasia.
My focus is always on providing support for the overall well-being of an individual and a family. Therapy goals and activities are developed according to each family's needs and priorities. I support neurodivergent individuals by working to find out what is best for them as a person, which means that the goal of therapy is never to make them act like a more typically-developing person, but to work on what's best for them and not what might make other people more comfortable. I value the autonomy of clients of all ages.
My Early Intervention services are primarily child-lead, play-based therapy. Families are strongly encouraged to participate in sessions as much as possible. I work with families to educate and coach them through strategies to provide support for their children, because they know their child best, and they are with them much more often than I am. I provide affirming support for clients of various genders, ethnicities, immigration status, religions, cultures, neurotypes, orientations, or any other quality of a marginalized person or group status.
Peach Coast Therapy is named in honor of my best friend, Amy. She began her higher education at the age of 51, and inspired me to go to college to study language.
